I start school again Monday. My days will no longer be filled with Greys Anatomy Marathons and reading for pleasure. I will soon be back listening to lectures, working on homework and selling my soul to pass Research Methods. It will consume me, and I'm not excited about it. It will be accompanied by Practicum, Psychology of Crime, Family Communication (which I'm slightly excited about), Advanced Psych Stats (Which I am in NO WAY excited about), and Senior Bible.
Just as a little gift, this is what happened last semester for Experimental. Our F-Stat actually frowned at us.
Good luck to all of those going back to school, and even more luck to those who have to put up with us.

Room for me
I love that no matter what is happening when I enter the living room Husband always makes a spot for me on the couch without me even asking. He even sits on my feet if they are cold. There's always room for me.

Today
I am thankful for:
1) My wonderful Husband. Jeff is kind, loving and patient. He loves me and encourages me to love myself.
2) Big Truck Tacos. Lunch was good.
3) My family. They are odd, but they are mine.
4) Jeff's family. I honestly could not have married into a better family. I adore them and am so blessed that they love me back.
5) My friend Leslie. I love her. She is crafty and wonderful. She makes me laugh and we always have a blast together. I'm very, very thankful for her.
6) a good book.
I'm sure that there are many more, but that's what I have right now.
Also, I do plan to be better at this. Honestly, I cant be much worse.

"Are you crying because you miss father?"
"No, I miss my hair!"

Not really. I actually really LOVE it! My lovely sister-in-law, Emily, cut it and did an amazing job! I will be loyal forever (sorry if you thought it was a one time job Emily. With a cut like that, I just can't go anywhere else!)
So school has once again started. I will be neck deep in it soon, or drowning. Take your pick. I'm taking Experimental Psychology, Psychopharmacology, Perspectives in Western Civilizations, Divorce and Step-family and Perspectives in World Music. Aren't you jealous! It will be a ridiculous amount of work, but I'm slightly excited about it. I'm lucky enough that for at least this semester I get to focus on my school work without a job. This will be the first time since college started that I will get to have this experience.
Also, this new found time has allowed to me start baking even more (and of course studying...some). I LOVE to bake! It's wonderful. I recently found pumpkin spice cookies. They were pretty good. But they will be better the second time (I must add my own touch)! I am obsessed with all things pumpkin right now. Candles, lotions, soap, food, decorations. If it is pumpkin I need it (go a head and keep that in mind for my birthday).
I feel like that is enough random thoughts for now. I will try to make this a more regular occurrence. The posting, not the random babble.
**Name the movie, get a plate of , you guessed it, pumpkin cookies (they are so delicious!)

Update
So I went to Virginia with Audrey, my mother in law, and it was wonderful! I had so much fun and the Children's Literature Conference. I'm not a teacher, but I have always loved to read. It was wonderful to hear so many neat ideas and learn how books come into creation. It was also wonderful getting to know Audrey even better! I loved spending time with her.
After that, I went to Mountain View, Arkansas for a "Gramling Getaway". It was Me and Jeff, his parents, Mike and Audrey, His Sister, Laura and her husband, Lance, and his sister-in-law Emily. We stayed here, be jealous. The second picture is the view from the back porch. It was beautiful. We played games, went and played in the spring and saw the Caverns. It was an overall good weekend.

Since our trip, I have now been working part-time at The Goddard School. An educational based Day Care. It has been good so far. I'm floating rooms, so I'm still trying to learn all of the kids routines and the classroom schedules, but i do enjoy the children and most of the parents.
New goal: To update my blog at least once a week. I will try my hardest.

Vacation?
So, I have to apologize for being such a horrible blogger. I literally have 3 posts started and just didn't really like any of them enough to finish. So, this is it for a while.
tomorrow morning at around 11:30am, I am off to Virginia with my mother-in-law, Audrey, for a week long children literature conference. It should be a lot of fun. And very interesting. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is the flying. I have never flown and am TERRIFIED! It is only a 2 hour flight. Not bad. It should be fine. But still, I can't help but be completely and utterly terrified about it. So here i am, it's 9:40pm and I have yet to start packing.
I guess I should hop on that.
I promise to be better to my 4 followers (thanks guys) from now on.!

"We've got Cows!!"

So this is what Abby (my fellow mail room worker) and I have been looking at for about the last 2 hours. Ever since we heard that the "window of doom" (or at least that's what I am calling it) would be lasting from 4:00-10:00pm. I'm not sure if the weather man (who is no George Flickinger by the way - People from Abilene, you understand what I mean) realizes, but that is a HUGE gap. We are talking about 6 hours of possible impending doom. I would just really appreciate it if i knew a little smaller window of when i may start my journey to OZ.
Really though, in all honesty, it wouldn't be as bad if every single person didn't tell us to be safe due to the bad weather that's a-comin'. That is what makes is terrifying (despite the incredibly blue sky outside). The good news...Thanks to good ole Niel Arter, Abby and I now know where are 'safe zones' are. The Bad news, We will be making a mad dash across campus to be in said 'safe zone'. I think i might just cut my losses and go outside with a camera (that is what true Texan/Oklahomans do...right?). Not really. I'll be safe. Probably. Most likely.
I really do appreciate it when Neil Arter keeps me safe. I what will I do when I am a big girl out of college and i no longer get emails telling me to take cover and another telling me when it's safe again. Do you think he might keep me on the email list if I ask him really nice? I sure hope so.
In all seriousness, I am hoping that I don't blow away tonight and that all our cars: Ruby, Ella and The Beast, are all ok (why yes, I do name my vehicles. It makes them feel important and run better.) I hope that Mr. Weather man is just overreacting so that people can't blame a spontaneous twister out of nowhere on him.
Well, Here's to avoiding yellow brick roads and flying monkeys for one more day.
